CAN MATHS REALLY BE COOL?
The web’s newest casual portal certainly thinks so as it launches Murfy Maths – an addictive puzzle game based around sums.
Launching on Murfy World – a new casual games portal from North East England developer Iguana Entertainment – Murfy Maths is the first of a line of original games based around fun puzzles and arcade action.
In Murfy Maths, the player is given goals to achieve against the clock. Find the solution by stringing together additions, subtractions and multiplications on the grid of numbers and symbols.
The game features three game modes, including Blitz Mode which challenges the user’s mental arithmetic to complete as many sums in the time limit as possible, and Challenge Mode which tasks the user with making use of certain symbols to complete goals.
Hoping to prove that maths games are just as cool as word or jewel games, Murfy Maths presents short bursts of gameplay which will have you counting on all fingers and toes for solutions!
Murfy Maths is available to play for free on the Murfy World website – www.murfyworld.com. A full premium version is also available to download from the site.

New time management game by Tees Valley firm sets green sights for promoting environmentally friendly ways of living.
Middlesbrough, 20 September 2010 – North East England games developer Iguana Entertainment has been working with National Geographic’s NatGeo Games brand on a new title which hopes to teach people how towns and cities can develop better to avoid risking long-term damage to the environment.

The player has a full complement of eco-houses, businesses, parks and renewable sources of energy production available to build on the island to help improve environmental health and keep the population happy.
The game is free to play and has now launched on some of the biggest game portals on the Internet, including Big Fish Games (www.bigfishgames.com), who are an industry leader in casual gaming.
